Sacha Baron Cohen has been nominated for his role in The Spy, earning a spot in the Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television category. Unfortunately, there were no female nominees in the best director category. The Irishman was named best film by both the New York Film Critics Circle and the National Board of Review, while Marriage Story was a big winner at the IFP Gotham Awards.

Actress Dakota Fanning, ‘This Is Us’ star Susan Kelechi Watson, and Golden Globe winner Tim Allen announced this year’s nominations from the Beverly Hilton hotel.
Comedian Ricky Gervais will be hosting the awards ceremony for the fifth time. Known for his humor, he has won several awards himself, including three Golden Globes, two Primetime Emmys, and seven BAFTAs.
Last year’s hosts were Sandra Oh and Andy Samberg, but this year, Gervais will take the reins.
The Golden Globes are voted on by members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, a group of journalists.
The 2020 Golden Globes, celebrating its 77th year, will be held at the Beverly Hills Hilton. The nominations were broadcasted on the official Facebook page and the Golden Globes website.
