Katy Perry Makes a Bold Fashion Statement at Cancer Immunotherapy Launch with Orlando Bloom

They had only recently returned from a lovely vacation in Aspen, just the day before.

That's more like it: Katy looked fantastic in a cleavage-baring strapless leather gown at the Sean Parker Medical Research Gala in LA earlier this month

Despite having spent a lot of time together, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry still seemed to be smitten with each other as they made an appearance at a charity event on Wednesday evening.

Double check: Katy had to keep a close eye and make sure she wasn't revealing more than she intended

The pair polished their appearance as they attended the opening of the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy in LA.

Commando: Katy Perry ditched her underwear in a sheer leather gown at the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy launch with boyfriend Orlando Bloom on Wednesday night

Katy appeared stunning in her strapless leather dress, which revealed a bit of cleavage. The sheer lace on both sides of the gown added to its allure, while still keeping everything in place. To complete her elegant ensemble, she wore silver chandelier earrings and a matching tiara that held her black hair up.

Got it on lock: The daring dress required her full attention to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions

Meanwhile, Orlando pulled off a dashing appearance in his timeless and elegant black tuxedo.

Double trouble: Katy(L) and actress Jaime King caught up for a little chat at the event

Fortunately, the guests didn’t spend the night clinging to each other. Bloom was seen socializing with reporter Katie Couric, while Perry was photographed alongside Alison Williams from Girls and Lenny Kravitz.

Sean Parker, the initial president of Facebook and co-founder of Napster, is providing a $250 million grant to support the establishment of the Parker Institute.

Girls: Perry posed with actress Alison Williams, whose wedding she performed at last year

The collaboration involves six prestigious cancer research institutions, numerous pharmaceutical companies, and various other organizations working together.

Socialising: Thankfully for all present Bloom and Perry didn't spend the evening draped over each other

Orlando and Katy were seen coming back from a romantic trip and attending a wedding of a wardrobe stylist named Jamie Schneider, merely a day before the event.

Grin and bare it: Katy also posed with fellow musician Lenny Kravitz, who knows a thing or two about the dangers of not wearing underwear
